Background:
Vincent Wong received the B.Sc. (with distinction) degree from the University of Manitoba in 1994, M.A.Sc. degree from the University of Waterloo in 1996, and Ph.D. from the University of British Columbia in 2000, all in electrical engineering. From 2000 - 2001, he was a systems engineer at PMC-Sierra, Inc. In 2002, he joined the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of British Columbia, where he is currently an Associate Professor. His research areas include protocol design, optimization, and resource management of communication networks, with applications to the Internet, wireless networks, RFID systems, and intelligent transportation systems. He is an associate editor of the IEEE Transactions on Vehicular Technology and an editor of Journal of Communications and Networks.
