Electrical & Computer Engineering Student Society
ECE Student Society (ECESS) is a student organization for all undergraduates Electrical & Computer Engineering students at the University of British Columbia.
With over 900 undergraduate students in the department, ECESS is the largest of all engineering departmental clubs.
Through the hard work of our council and student volunteers, our goal
is to provide ECE students with a better environment to learn and gain
life long skills.

ECE Tutorial Sessions
ECE Final Exam tutoring is available!
The first one coming is for ECE 314, from 3-5pm. Meet at the ECE Lounge (MacLeod 434) beforehand to
find out where the tutoring session will occur.
We will also be holding tutoring sessions for the following courses:
ECE 364- April 8th,1-3pm
ECE 314/315-April 13th, 3:30-5:30pm
MATH 267-April 15th, 12:00-2:00pm
ECE 369-April 20th, 6:30-8:30pm
ECE 259-April 25th, 12-2pm
ECE 356-April 27th,1-3pm
(please note that for all sessions, meet at MacLeod 434 beforehand to
find out the location of the tutoring session).
We are currently in the process of confirming sessions for ECE 253 and
261; all tutoring details will be placed on posters on all
floors of Mcleod during the exam period.

Ex-Officio positions are not elected but are chosen by council if there are multiple applicants. To apply for one of these positions, please collect a nomination form from the ECE student lounge (434 MacLeod), have your nomination form signed by ten ECE students, and submit the form to the nomination box in the lounge by Tuesday, April 5th at 5:00 PM.
If you would like more information about any position or how we operate, please read our brief constitution or feel free to email the outgoing holder of the position you're interested in (see the Executives or Ex-Officio page). If you would like any more information about the election, please visit our office in 434 MacLeod or email us at studentsociety@ece.ubc.ca. We can also always use assistants for most positions and other volunteers, so please don't hesitate to speak to us if you'd like to help out.

UBC Engineering Filmfeust 2011 First Place Winner!!!
E-Week 2011 is Coming!
Sunday, January 30 at 10:00pm - February 5 at 1:00am
 No one remembers the last time ECE won E-Week. After years of apathy, last year ECE managed to muster up the spirit to surprise everyone and win a very close second place. This year we plan to show the rest of engineering what ECE can do and win first!
E-Week consists of 28 competitive events all week long competing against other departments and a few engineering clubs. We get points for placing in the top 3 of each event, but we also get points for volunteering, participating or just attending (and might I remind you, we have over 900 students that can attend, and attending doesn't require you to stay for the entire event).

Many events require participants but ECE also gets attendance points at all events (even if it's just long enough to sign up your name).

E-Week will end with E-Ball Saturday Night at 6pm. E-Ball is a fancy schmancy dinner and dance at the Croatian Cultural Center where the E-Week winners will be announced. Tickets are $50 and are available in the council office (434 MacLeod).

The new ECE Department T-shirts are now available and on sale! the T shirt design can be seen on the ECE Student Society website at. The shirts are available in both male and female sizes and the price will be $15 per shirt! Please visit the ECESS office at Mcld 434 today to pick up your own ECE shirt!
