I was a PhD student in the Electrical and Computer Engineering department (ECE) at University of British Columbia (UBC). I worked in the computer security lab LERSSE under Profs Konstantin Beznosov and Matei Ripeanu. My research interests include distributed system security architecture, middleware security, software security, peer-to-peer security.

Before joining UBC, I was a Security Software Engineer in the Application Security Group at the CrimsonLogic, a major Singapore-based application service provider. I obtained my master degree in information engineering from Nanyang Technological University (NTU) in 2002. My master research focused on Agent-Based Mobile Commerce. I got the Bachelor degree in Computer Science from the University of Science & Technology Beijing (USTB) in 1998.

I have graduated from UBC in 2009. I am currently working as a VP of IT in CCB International, an investment bank based in Hong Kong.
