Profile:
I have a PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of British Columbia
with specialization in multimedia systems. My supervisor was
Dr. Panos Nasiopoulos. I
was working in Digital Multimedia Lab during the PhD time. After my PhD departmental exam, I joined NZ Technlogies Inc. in July 2016. The focus of my work in this company was to use computer vision and human computer interaction approaches to solve some of the challenges in the operating rooms. In December 2019, I came back to UBC's DML, as a Postdoctoral
research fellow to work on my current interests which are deep learning for image and video processing, light field technology, and computational photography
I am well experienced in various fields - multimedia systems and processing, video compression, scalable and multiview video coding, 3D and high dynamic range (HDR), machine learning, computer vision, Human computer interaction, speech and signal processing, biomedical engineering, and system modeling.
