Abstract

Large area (>20{''}) AMOLED displays pose unique challenges for a-Si. The displays must have high brightness, very long lifetimes, and low pixel programming times. Current-driven pixels have shown long lifetime, but at the cost of high programming times. New pixel circuits and drive schems shown here demonstrate that lare AMOLED displays for HDTV are possible using well-established a-Si technology.
