Sergio González-Valenzuela, Ph.D.

On the spring of 2011, I completed 3 years of post-doctoral research at the Wireless Networks and Mobile Systems Laboratory, Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, UBC. Prior to that, I obtained the M.A.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees (also at UBC) under the fine supervision of professors Victor Leung and Son Vuong. I am forever grateful for everything that I learned from them. You can find the most recent information about me here.

While at UBC, my research interests were in the following areas:

  • Service discovery in MANET/PANs
  • Protocol design in WSNs and WBANs
  • Topology formation and routing in MANETs/PANs
  • Mobile software agents
  • Reinforcement learning
  • Peer-to-peer networking
  • Self-organizing systems
  • High-speed networks (MPLS)
A short description of the research projects that I was involved in is here.
